The reasons I bought SS . I am 64 and had a BMW Rt 2007 and Harley Springer in living room most of its life. But I drive corners very fast and can not slow down and even dropping bike in Needles S.D with wife on it. So she did get most of bike dropping on her and decided to get another 3 wheeler. I have had 3 three wheelers and Can Am did not like to top heavy and not enough corner speed . I had JZR Honda 650 power and Triking Moto Guzzi power and miss having the last 2 mentioned. My wife did not like the last 2 for they could go under tractor trailer at 10' long and 30" high she did not like them for their small-ness and SS much larger . Waiting for it to arrive alond with Alpha Turbo. Hopefully 2 weeks will be on road. And hoping Wife will want to drive it some.

38 years young, have owned 13 cars and 3 motorcycles over the years. I love the idea of combining the freedom of a bike and the comfort of a car. The SS spoke to me in a big way. Although I am learning I am at the young portion of the demographic after chit chatting with most owners.

In South Carolina you only need a regular driver license to ride any 3 wheeler.

Bought mine at 60. Just another way for the Mrs. & I to get out on the road. Have ridden motorcycles for 40 years. A great way to spend the weekend.

58 years here, just bought mine. I still own a Honda Fury, and I'm sure I'll still ride it.
But the SS is a blast to ride. I like the fact that Illinois restricts riders to motorcycle license.
It keeps my wife at bay, and I have a good reason for not letting my non motorcycling friends ride it as well. The licensed riders I know , I would trust to ride my Slingshot.

No, not a mid-life crisis. Ride my bikes alot. Nothin like dancin' the twisties on two wheels. Magic. The Sling is darned close. The wife loves it. Can't get her out of it. The bike for her? Yeah, at gun point. She never was at ease. She's like a little kid in the Sling. We are both 62 so beyond the mid-life thing I feel.
Mid-life crisis to me, is a 40/50 somethin' guy/gal with some $, no training, no license, and "Let's buy a $25,000 motorcycle", then proceed to wrap it around a tree. I'd venture a guess that alot of us come from the two wheeled part of the sport. The experience we have from this, I think, helps us enjoy our slings that much more. The Slingshot is the only vehicle with more then 2 wheels I REALLY get a rush out of. WHATA BLAST! Be safe!

I am 29, but I have a 6 figure job so thats the only reason I can afford one at my age without being born into money. The slingshot is definitely more of a midlife crisis toy for sure because thats exactly what it is, a toy. It's just something to get out on a nice day and have a good time riding to me.
