Polaris and parts
I have a real problem with Polaris and the availability of parts. I took my Slingshot in for an engine light. I already knew the problem was a defective 'knock sensor'. The dealer confirmed this right away. Since this part is on the engine a replacement is available at any auto parts or GM dealer, either off the shelf or overnight. Polaris needs TEN DAYS to deliver the same part! Since this replacement is under the warranty my choice is to have my vehicle sit at the dealer for two weeks or buy the part myself and fix it in an hour. If this is an example of what to expect with the extended warranty I'll take my chances.
